Not On The High Street Join us at KleverCase (for a day)
We had a VIP guest at the Bindery this week as part of the @notonthehighstreet In Your Shoes campaign. This involved a NOTHS staff member spending a day with a partner to see how we offer our unique book themed gift products to their customers at www.notonthehighstreet.com and to better understand the businesses that work with them.
Our visitor was Head of Finance, Spencer Hill and we gave him a full tour of the klevercase workshops and talked him through our 40 year history from traditional bookbinder to maker of handmade book themed kindle and tech covers, stationery and homeware and interior products.
We didn’t let him off too easily as he got his hands dirty in the production line, creating kindle covers for our launch on https://www.thegrommet.com/ next week. Spencer was impressed with the speed at which we can craft our e-book reader and tablet cases by hand, using traditional bookbinding tools and machinery.
He also hand crafted a jungle book ipad mini cover for his 4 year old son Joe from scratch and master book binder Philip was mightily impressed with his skills and said he could have a job as a craftsman for klevercase any time!
Our operations manager Mo took Spencer through the whole process of how we take a @notonthehighstreet order from a customer, make and pack the products and then process and post with royal mail. He was able to give us some great feedback using his finance and NOTHS experience.
We learned a lot about how we can make the process more efficient and also offered some feedback to him about things we thought would improve the customer experience on our shop at http://www.notonthehighstreet.com/klevercase/
Spencer then packed and labeled a personalised iphone cover, kindle paperwhite case and office file and was very happy to use the Not On The High Street logo’d labels before bagging them up for shipping.
With that and an armful of goodies for his family and his chest pumped with pride for his self-made ipad cover for Joe, he set off in the New Forest rain for home. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and appreciated again what a great company NOTHS is to work with.
